1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you submit our contact form, we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Business name, budget, and project details
Please do not send passwords, financial account information, health information, or other sensitive personal information through the contact form.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting and analytics provider automatically collects:
- Log and usage data: IP address, pages viewed, referring website, and date and time of visit
- Device data: device type, operating system, and browser type
- Approximate location: country, derived from your IP address
We do not collect precise geolocation.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Site does not place cookies, local storage, or tracking pixels on visitors' devices. Our analytics are cookieless. A private administrative area of the Site uses authentication cookies, but these apply only to the Site owner and are not set for visitors.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about it
- Provide and deliver services if you become a client
- Understand how the Site is used and identify usage trends
- Evaluate and improve the Site, our services, and the user experience
- Protect the security and integrity of the Site
- Comply with legal obligations
If you provide a phone number, we will use it only to call or text you about your inquiry. We do not send marketing text messages, and we do not add contact form submissions to marketing email lists.
We do not use personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Legal bases (for visitors in the EU/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal information based on:
- Steps prior to a contract: responding to your request about our services
- Legitimate interests: operating, securing, and improving the Site
- Legal obligation: complying with applicable law
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We disclose personal information only to:
- Service providers that process it on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Vercel: website hosting and analytics
- Resend: delivery of contact form submissions by email
- Microsoft: business email hosting
- Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety or that of others
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, sale, financing, or transfer of all or part of our business, subject to this policy
California "Shine the Light" (Civil Code Section 1798.83): We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
4. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
The Site does not track visitors across third-party websites, so browser "Do Not Track" signals do not change how the Site operates. Because we do not sell or share personal information, Global Privacy Control signals are effectively honored by default.
5. How Long We Keep Information
- Contact form submissions: kept as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and to maintain reasonable business records, then deleted. If you become a client, your information is retained as described in your client agreement.
- Analytics and server logs: retained according to our hosting provider's standard retention periods.
- Email delivery logs: retained by our email delivery provider for a limited period according to its standard practices.
6. How We Protect Information
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for businesses and adults and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact kieran@sloppyko.com.
8. Your Privacy Rights
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA), California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose, and to request the specific pieces we hold about you
- Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share)
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect it)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
EU and UK residents
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to request a portable copy. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Residents of other U.S. states
Depending on where you live, you may have similar rights, including the right to appeal a decision on your request. We will honor applicable requests regardless of your state of residence.
9. How to Exercise Your Rights
Submitting a request
Email kieran@sloppyko.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and include:
- Your name
- The email address or phone number you used when contacting us
- The right you want to exercise (for example: access, correction, or deletion)
- For correction requests, what information is inaccurate and what it should say
Verifying your identity
To protect your information, we will verify your request before acting on it. In most cases, we verify by confirming the request comes from the same email address associated with your information. If we cannot verify your identity this way, we may ask for additional details that match information we already hold. We will use any information you provide for verification only to verify your request.
Authorized agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require written proof that the agent is authorized and may ask you to verify your identity directly with us.
Timing and cost
We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will notify you and may extend that period by up to an additional 45 days as permitted by law. Requests are free. We may decline requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive, and we will explain why.
If we cannot fulfill a request
If we deny all or part of your request, we will tell you why, such as being unable to verify your identity or a legal exception applying, and explain how to appeal.
10. How to Appeal a Decision
If we decline to act on your request, in whole or in part, you may appeal.
- How: Email kieran@sloppyko.com with the subject line "Privacy Request Appeal" and explain why you disagree with our decision.
- When: Within 60 days of receiving our decision.
- Our response: We will review your appeal and respond in writing within 60 days, explaining any action taken or not taken and our reasons.
- If your appeal is denied: You may contact your state Attorney General. California residents may also contact the California Privacy Protection Agency at cppa.ca.gov or the California Attorney General at oag.ca.gov.
11. How to Review, Update, or Delete Your Data
You can ask us to review, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you by following the steps in Section 9.
- Review: We will provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you, including your contact form submission and related correspondence, in a readable format.
- Update: We will correct inaccurate information, such as a misspelled name or outdated email or phone number.
- Delete: We will delete your contact form submission and related correspondence from our email account and request deletion from our service providers where applicable. We will confirm once deletion is complete.
What we may not be able to delete
We may keep certain information when the law allows or requires it, for example to:
- Complete a transaction or service you requested
- Maintain records required for tax, accounting, or legal purposes
- Detect security incidents or protect against fraud or illegal activity
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
Analytics data
Our analytics are cookieless and are not linked to your name or email address. Because we cannot reliably connect analytics records to a specific person, we generally cannot locate or delete them individually. This data is retained only according to our hosting provider's standard retention periods.
12. Categories of Personal Information (CCPA Disclosure)

If you visit from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
14. Third-Party Links
The Site links to third-party websites such as LinkedIn and YouTube. These links do not collect information on our Site, but those websites have their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party websites.

- Every update: We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
- Material changes: If we make a change that materially affects how we collect, use, or share your personal information, we will post a notice on the Site before the change takes effect. If we have your email address and the change affects information we already hold, we may also notify you by email.
- Previously collected information: We will not use personal information we already collected in a materially different way than described at the time it was collected without your consent.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Site after an update means the updated policy applies going forward.
